Job Summary:

Provide direct management of finance team and operations for U.S. headquarter in Bothell, WA and international subsidiaries in Canada, Europe and Asia.  Scope of responsibility includes financial reporting and analysis, GAAP/IFRS accounting application, financial control deployment, cash management, tax oversight, internal/external audit, liaison with FUJIFILM Corporate and staff development. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee finance operations including: corporate reporting, general ledger accounting, credit and collections, accounts payable, tax preparation and internal/external audit for U.S. and international subsidiaries.
  • Lead global accounting team including hiring and providing clear direction on strategy, goals and development.
  • Responsible for the preparation of domestic, international, and consolidated financials in accordance with GAAP and FUJIFILM corporate reporting guidelines.
  • Establish and implement accounting policies and financial controls related to revenue recognitions, spending authorizations, cash management and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage global cash position including external banking relationships, forecasting, disbursement approval and intercompany cash settlements.
  • Liaison with corporate tax team on the preparation, review and accounting of quarterly and annual tax accruals, provisions and adjustments.
  • Maintain and enhance financial system integrity through data clean-up, process improvements and system feature/capability upgrades.
  • Support FP&A function and annual planning process by providing financial data, KPIs and analysis of revenue and spending.
  • Partner with FUJIFILM corporate and U.S. shared services on reporting, payroll, tax, cash, audit, compliance and other matters as needed.
  • Be a change agent for improving financial processes, establishing standard work/procedures, upgrading systems/technology and driving cost reductions.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Industry experience as a global and corporate controller; public accounting experience desired (10+ years of progressive experience).
  • Experience in a high technology manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting; CPA highly desired.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP & IFRS, current accounting trends, and developments.
  • International reporting experience including legal entity accounting and consolidations.
  • Large ERP system experience (i.e. Oracle, SAP).
  • Ability to design and implement processes that are SOX compliant and scalable.
  • Proven success in managing large teams and leading through change.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent partnership skills and written and verbal communication skills.
